About the Founder
I’m Dr Ammar Aroury, founder of
My journey with THRYVE Org began long before I gave it a name.
For more than 12 years, I taught thousands of university students across nursing, health sciences, communication, and essential soft skills. Whether in a classroom, lecture hall, workshop, or online environment, one truth became clear to me: when people feel valued, respected, and supported, they don’t just learn — they grow, connect, and transform.
This realisation shaped everything that came after.
Alongside teaching, I spent five years leading a team of more than 20 staff, facing the daily realities of communication gaps, morale dips, interpersonal tensions, and organisational pressure. Some days required structure and clarity, others required empathy and patience. But each day taught me what people truly need from their leaders: fairness, purpose, and an environment they can trust.
During my four-year PhD journey, I explored workplace environment and wellbeing in critical care healthcare settings — places where pressure is constant and the emotional stakes are high. I studied how culture impacts burnout, disengagement, teamwork, psychological safety, and performance. What I found confirmed everything I had witnessed:
Healthy work environments don’t happen by chance — they are intentionally built.
At the same time, I spent over 10 years serving in volunteer roles across Islamic organisations, community centres, and educational programs. These experiences showed me another side of leadership — one that I believe can be brought into every workplace: the power of values, sincerity, and purpose, and the challenge of helping diverse teams thrive even in resource-limited environments.
All these experiences — academic, professional, research, and community — eventually converged into a single question:
How can leaders and teams create workplaces where people genuinely thrive?
One theme kept emerging:
Knowledge transition matters.
Not just what we know, but how we transfer it, apply it, and share it in a way that helps people and organisations move forward.
I learned that meaningful knowledge transition bridges the gap between theory and practice, between intention and action, between knowing better and doing better.
This idea sits at the core of THRYVE Org.
THRYVE Org represents the integration of research, lived experience, organisational insight, and a deep belief in human potential. Through the THRYVE Pathway™, I support leaders and teams with practical, evidence-based tools that transform knowledge into behaviour, behaviour into culture, and culture into long-term wellbeing and performance.
Whether supporting healthcare teams, corporate organisations, or faith-based institutions, my mission remains the same:
To empower people and organisations with the knowledge, clarity, and support they need to build healthy, respectful, and empowered workplace cultures — where everyone can truly THRYVE.
